ART

My Reason for Living

... To the Art of expression belongs all beauty, the alchemy of scents and blends, it's pure self-knowledge and the supreme Love par excellence. In it, I lose myself in an endless oblivion, forgetting the obscure reality ...

She graduated in Applied Arts from the Institute of Art in Syracuse in 1995. Subsequently, she achieved her degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2002 with the highest honors. Meanwhile, in 1998, she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she honed her skills in modeling and sculpture.

Eclecticism defines her artistic style, driving her to explore her most intimate artistic endeavors. Her focus lies in the realm of sign art, within a dynamic, experimental journey infused with profound mysticism. A recurring theme in her work is flight, wings, and angels.

Her artistic journey is fueled by natural curiosity, which has led her to experiment with a wide range of techniques. Through years of dedication and practice, she has acquired a vast repertoire of skills.

Her first exposure to contemporary art occurred in 1992 when she met the artist Alfredo Romano. This encounter marked the beginning of a research journey into the world around her, starting from within herself.

Over the years, she has developed her artistic research, making it her life's purpose, exploring various techniques and forms, and earning international recognition for her paintings and sculptures.

Today, she is deeply involved in contemporary art and serves as the artistic director of arteficeatelier.

Imperfect BLUE

From the profound depths of the soul

Sculpture Blu ceramic

... dove ha sede il tuo dolore, ANIMA VIBRANTE ...

Majolica half bust is a symbol of stylized figure of a woman. It is a metamorphosis to achieve its end through the molding of clay, forged with water and fire, of spiritual and seductive colors. It tells of intimate things, describes the inner pain. the spasmodic search of the hope, the evolution in the search of the Light for excellence…

A cut represented from a red line, describes the wound, and it cuts the figure in two parts.
The lower part of the sculpture is a rigid body, then it feels in agony, with a inner movements, slowly, but with strong intensity.

A universal intense feeling, crosses it and it tears it, with an inexpressible pain.
The upper half of the sculpture represents the spirit, the feeling, the evolution towards the Light, the hope and the Love for excellence, it is the representation of a soul that is detached from the body, and it vibrates toward the Light.

The Chambers of Memory

A half-bust sculpted in majolica, a stylized female figure symbolizing memory. It narrates my personal journey in an ongoing quest that leads me into the innermost and profound realm of my existence, introspective and metaphorical. It delves into intimate matters, describing the ceaseless transformation of memory, its etching in a continuous movement toward the inner abyss.

As the veil of materiality is lifted, the chambers of memory come to the forefront. Some are deep, harboring distant, painful wounds, while others, more superficial, cradle recent, joyful memories within their curves. Memory here takes on wings, one open and the other half-closed, concealing whether it is departing or returning in its irrational and unpredictable movements.

The color that bathes it is spiritual, eclectic, seductive; it represents sentiment, a complete immersion in the emotions it engenders. With closed eyes and partially parted lips, it is fully engrossed in what it listens to internally.

The space between the wings signifies the farthest reaches of memory, the emotional residue, that which is not remembered yet remains a part of us. Continuous motion courses through it in every facet, carving its essence.
