SCULPTURE
Under the hands' influence, clay allows itself to be transformed, impressed, and shaped, and the resulting artwork retains all the energy, taking on form and preserving it over time once fired.
When we mold clay with our own hands, our primal instinct emerges, and when we glaze and fire it, rationality comes into play. This is when practice and theory seamlessly merge into a single experience. It's an alchemical process where intuition, technique, and poetry, combined with the elements of earth, air, water, and fire, undergo the creative process.
The opening of the kiln is a magical moment that rewards our efforts; it's the fire that judges the work, and our ability to assess the results, including any mistakes, determines success, propelling us into a journey of continuous exploration.
